A Silence Where Cheers Should Be: Remembering Our Fallen Fans

🕯️ A Silence Where Cheers Should Be: Remembering Our Fallen Fans

June 4th, 2025 – A Day of Both Glory and Grief for Bangalore

“Their cheers echoed through the streets. Now, their silence speaks louder.”

“The dream we all shared, the one we’d waited for, finally came true. RCB, our RCB, lifted the trophy. The city was meant to erupt in a symphony of joyous roars, a sea of red and gold pulsating with an energy only a championship can ignite. And it did, for a while. But then, on June 4th, 2025, in the heart of that euphoria, an unimaginable shadow fell.”

💔A Sudden Turn from Triumph to Tragedy

It’s hard to reconcile the elation we felt with the profound sorrow that now grips our community. What was meant to be a celebration of a lifetime, a testament to years of unwavering support, tragically turned into a moment of devastating loss. The reports of the stampede, of fellow fans lost in the very act of celebrating a shared passion, are utterly heartbreaking.

There are no words adequate to describe the shock, the disbelief, the sheer unfairness of it all.

🤝 Standing With the Grieving Families

Our hearts, heavy and fractured, go out to every family who lost a loved one. To the parents, children, siblings, and friends who are now navigating an abyss of grief — please know that the entire RCB family mourns with you.

We may not know each name, but we know the spirit – the passionate, unwavering spirit of a fan who lived and breathed for these moments.
They were us.
They carried the same hopes, roared with the same passion, and dreamt the same dream.

🔕 The Cheers That Fell Silent

Their cheers, which only moments before echoed with triumph, are now silent. Their vibrant spirits, draped in our beloved colours, were extinguished in a cruel twist of fate.

It’s a stark reminder of how fragile life is, and how quickly joy can turn to sorrow.

The victory feels hollow now, overshadowed by a loss so profound.
The cup we craved seems to weigh so much heavier today — laden not just with glory, but with the memory of those we lost in its pursuit.

🔴 Remembering More Than Just Names

🕯️”Though their song is quieted, its echo lingers on, In every heartfelt cheer, from dusk until the dawn. A part of every victory, a tear in every eye, Their spirit, forever RCB, will never truly die.”

Today, our red and gold are colours of mourning, of remembrance.

We stand together, united in sorrow, offering our deepest, most heartfelt condolences.

May the souls of our departed fellow fans find eternal peace, and may their families find the strength to endure this unbearable pain.
